Many times people have the courage to do something daring. However, most of those same people are waiting for someone/something to start it off. Many people do not know what the outcome will be, so they will wait for the one daring person to start it off. People generally think that the person who steps out in front, and is willing to risk it all, and go out first are fearless. However, they are normal people who have just as much fear as you and i; they just have found a way to not let this fear control them and make the decisions for them. We often, every day even, have the opportunity to let fear control us, or we can take control of fear. There have been different people throughout history who have tried to find ways to eliminate fear.
A popular answer is "face your fear". "Stand up in the face of it all, whatever you are most afraid of, and do not back down."
-perfect love cast out all fear 1 John 4:18[17,19]-
There once was a little boy whose job was watching his dad’s sheep. (True story by the way) His brothers were off fighting a war, but he could not go. He was the lowliest of all his family. He was just an average kid. One day, his father sent him to go give food to his brothers, and to see how the war was going. Once the boy got to the camp where his brothers were, he heard the report that there was a challenge put out...That one man from the Israelite army (the boy's(whose name was David) country), and the best warrior of the Philistines (whose name was Goliath) would have a 1 on 1 fight to decide this battle. 40 days Goliath would come out, ready to fight, challenging Israel-cursing their God, and no one would come fight him. Goliath was over 9 ft tall, and was trained in fighting since he was a child. Once David had heard this, and that no one in all the army of Israel would accept the challenge, he chose to fight. David was an average kid, and was NO comparison to Goliath. It was simply a no-brainer that David would die! David clearly had to have the thought of fear go through his mind, but he did not let that stop him. His love for His country-and more importantly, His love for GOD, had him not fear-but TRUST in GOD. Goliath had openly cursed David's GOD for 40 days straight. At the next opportunity, David accepted the challenge and by the strength of The LORD, had killed Goliath.
You can read even more details of the story in The Bible in 1 Samuel chapter 17. It's an interesting story-the whole life a David is pretty cool.
He did not give into fear, rather was driven by love to overcome the opposition and deliver his people, even though fear was Very clear and present.

The principles to the kingdom of GOD is much different than anything we, as humans, normally understand. The simple fact that something so small can be so large. How it seems that if you want to be at one extreme you have to be at the other end. If you want to be above, you got to be below. This type of thinking isn’t popular among most people. In worldly reality, why, if you wanted to be a leader, work so hard to serve? It doesn’t make sense.
There is another type of thinking and mindset. This is that of the kingdom of GOD. Where, dying is living. Where forgetting yourself for the sake of helping others, keeps you taken care of. Even losing is gaining. Where does this come from? What kind of mindset is this?
This kind of thinking comes from the spiritual realm. It comes from GOD. If you die to your fleshly nature, you will be living from your spirit. When you no longer feed (keep alive) the part of you that wants to do wrong, you will live through the spirit, and pursue God, and His desires. If you lay aside the things that keep you on top and supported, and serve others, and support them; you will be protected and supported by GOD. He will provide you with everything you need, and even bless you. Again, it’s not about all the ways that make sense in our human mind. With us, it’s easy to focus on the blessing, and work hard for that. However, in the kingdom, it’s about love. Not loving to receive love, or to get some type of award or blessing, just to love. To love as Christ loves. He gave everything just so we can be with HIM; because HE loves us. CHRIST came as an example of how we should live. Many times we don’t understand that CHRIST was human too. HE just lived through the spirit, and not through fleshly nature like we all do from time to time. If we live as we have been shown, we would live out of love. We would help people to help them, not to get anything in return. We would clothe the naked so they would have clothes, not so we can add that to the list of things we do, or get a better title, or be looked highly upon. Just to love, we would feed the hungry, so they can be filled and have a good meal in their bellies; so they could be looked after and be taken care of with no worries.
Do we really love GOD as we say we do? JESUS even said that to do this to even the least of these, is to do if for HIM. Why? Just to make HIM happy? To do something HE couldn’t do? No. JESUS can do anything. HE loves us unconditionally, and to show any love to HIM makes HIM happy. So why then? So that we could learn to love, and to truly love. Love as CHRIST loves; selfless love. And through this selfless love, that will grow. Even as the mustard seed seems so small, like our actions that seem to go unnoticed, will grow into a huge tree. The rest of the verse from up top says "…so that the birds of the air come and rest in it’s branches." The very actions that you do, even those that go unnoticed, will grow into something that will bless others, far after the initial action.
Go in grace; love.
Love as CHRIST loves. :D
Faith for the "small stuff"
This is just a thought that i've had a couple of times.
Why is it that sometimes as CHRISTians we have unbelievable faith, enough to move mountains, but not for the "small stuff"?
18In the morning, as Jesus was returning to Jerusalem, he was hungry, 19and he noticed a fig tree beside the road. He went over to see if there were any figs on it, but there were only leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" And immediately the fig tree withered up.
20The disciples were amazed when they saw this and asked, "How did the fig tree wither so quickly?"
21Then Jesus told them, "I assure you, if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, `May God lift you up and throw you into the sea,' and it will happen. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:18-21
you see, for the big things in our life we have the faith to overcome it, but the small things in life sometimes seem hard to overcome. why is this?
OUR PRIDE
When we have stuff in our life that is too big for us to accomplish it's easy to give it to GOD, but when it is a smaller thing we will sometimes get the thought in our head that we can handle it all by ourselves. Have you ever tried to handle a small situation by yourself? Yeah, sure you've probably made it out ok, but only by the grace of God which is the only thing to get us through anything.
Is it safe to say that you've tried to handle a "small situation" by yourself and it ended up spiraling out of control until you've had to give it all to God, which if you would have done this in the first place you would have been alright.
If you take what ever it is in your life, good or bad, and be humble and give it to God then it's going to be better off. It may not be the easiest, but it will end up better and going toward God's glory (which as CHRISTians, we should be looking for all the time anyway [GOD's glory] ).
message me if you have any questions.
Go love as CHRIST loves. :D
JESUS's believe it or not!
Recently, i realized that JESUS is kind of asking us the same question, "will you Believe what I have to say?"
such as: Seeing entire nations saved, raising the dead, various miracles, people becoming free of stuff they were bound to, CHRISTians-living out the way we are supposed to, and whatever else The BIBLE says.
If you believe JESUS is who HE says HE is, then you would live out what HE has shown you. So, in a way, believing is more than just saying it's true, it's also (or at least leads to) living it out. What is the point of believing something and not living it out. If you believe it, you believe it's truth. In a time that we are now living, truth is valuable, and hard to find sometimes. So, if you find absolute truth (which is in The BIBLE) why not go all out for it. There are millions (if not billions) of people searching for the truth. And in their search, they will find something to believe in. I've heard it said that one of the most believable lies, has some truth to it. So, for all those, possibly billions of people, searching for the truth, they very well may just find some of the most "believable lies". What are we going to do about it! We canNOT just sit here and watch them go to hell! It is simply intolerable to do such a thing. We have been called (by GOD) to go out and share The TRUTH. Go read John 8:31-36 ( http://bibleresources.bible.com/passagesearchresults.php?passage1=John+8%3A31-36&passage2=&passage3=&passage4=&passage5=&version1=9&version2=51&version3=45&version4=49&version5=8&Submit.x=17&Submit.y=8 ) there's a link to it with about 5 different translations-go read it closely. You can stop reading here if you like, The BIBLE has more to say than i do.
So, go share The TRUTH. Live out a life that CHRIST lived.
Go love as CHRIST loves! :D
